AI-Native Operators.

Every operator on Nitro uses AI as a core part of how they work. Not as a novelty. As a system — across every project type on the platform.

Nitro operator

They arrive with a stack

Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Notion AI — daily tools, not new concepts. No onboarding required on the basics.

🗂️

Systems, not just deliverables

Every project results in documented workflows and SOPs your team can run long after the engagement ends.

🎯

Any role. Same standard.

Research, content, ops, product — the AI-native approach applies across every project type on the platform.

🧠

Matched on how they think

Not GPA. Not major. Matched on initiative, ambiguity tolerance, and the instinct to identify problems first.

You're building something big. You're also buried.

You know you need help. But first you'd need to figure out what to delegate. Then write the job description. Then post it somewhere. Then read through 100+ applications from people who look right on paper and aren't. Most founders never get past step one. That's the problem Nitro solves — before you even open a browser tab.

Founder overwhelmed Out of time

Built for founders who are ready to delegate.

  • Funded or generating revenue — a real company, not just an idea

  • You have a real project with room for genuine ownership
  • 30 minutes a week to sync with your intern
  • Open to providing a reference at the end of a great engagement
  • Want capable support without a lengthy hiring process
  • Believe in giving students a real shot at meaningful work

01

Tell us about your startup

Fill out your founder profile. What you're building, where you're stuck, what kind of operator would move the needle. Takes about five minutes. No job description required — that's our job.

02

Your project brief is generated

Based on your profile, Nitro builds a scoped project brief — the one you've been meaning to write for three months. You review and confirm. No back-and-forth. No consulting engagement.

03

Your match is made

The platform reviews both sides — how you build, how they work, what the project actually needs — and surfaces the fit. No browsing profiles. No inbox management. The student who reaches you already cleared a bar most hiring processes never set.

04

The work begins

Clear scope. A simple agreement. A student who arrives knowing exactly what they're building and why it matters. Up to 2 active placements per company.

Founder covered in tasks Collage of work

Less chaos.
More output.

Every Nitro founder receives a scoped project brief before a single student is placed. That clarity alone is worth showing up for.

Students arrive AI-trained and ready to execute. No hand-holding on tools. No ramp-up on what a startup even is.

No payroll. No HR overhead. A letter of recommendation is the student's compensation — one of the most powerful things a high schooler can earn.

The unfair advantage — for both sides.

🎯

No job description needed

You answer a few questions. Nitro generates the project brief. You approve it. The part founders procrastinate forever takes about ten minutes here.

AI-native by default

Every student on Nitro uses AI tools as part of how they work — not as a novelty. They arrive with a stack and know how to deploy it on your actual problems.

🔒

Matched on how they think

Nitro doesn't match on major or GPA. It matches on cognitive profile — orientation toward ambiguity, instinct to identify problems before being asked, ability to move fast without needing every answer handed to them. These are the people who make early-stage companies go.

Not “interns.” Operators.

Nitro student

Nitro students are the top-percentile high schoolers who are already trying to do more than their school will let them. AI-native, self-directed, and hungry for the kind of work that actually changes their trajectory.

  • Top-percentile students on a path to selective universities
  • Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and your CRM’s built-in AI are daily tools
  • Self-directed. They don't need babysitting
  • Motivated by real outcomes, not résumé lines
  • Nitro students go on to attend Top 30 schools like Harvard, Penn, NYU, Cornell, UCLA
  • 5–10 hrs/week during school, up to 20 in summer

Why I built this.

For nearly a decade I've worked two sides of the same room. Early-stage startups figuring out how to grow. High-achieving students figuring out how to stand out. Both were looking for the same thing.

I'd been making these introductions informally for years. Nitro is what happens when you build a system around something that already works. Every match is intentional. I know the founders. I know the students. That's not something a job board can replicate.

From founders & students.

From a Founder
"Working with our Nitro intern has been a great way to make sure our experience is headed in the right direction. Her quality and timeliness of work helped us exceed our outreach goals — which is essential to our growth."

From a Student
"This internship exposed me to how a real business runs and helped me build relationships I wouldn't have had otherwise. I learned that work doesn't have to be rigid — it can be genuinely rewarding."

Sydney A. — Student Intern, New York

Straight answers.

After submitting your founder profile, Nitro generates a project brief based on your answers. You review and confirm it before any match is made. If you'd like to talk through your project with the Nitro team first, that option is available after you've joined.

Nitro internships are unpaid by default. Founders are welcome to compensate students if they choose, but it's never required. The primary student value exchange is a letter of recommendation from a startup founder — which carries serious weight for college applications.

That's the most common thing we hear. Most founders feel this way. The brief gets built from your answers — you don't need to arrive with a polished scope. Answer the questions honestly and the clarity follows.

A brief weekly check-in with your student is the main ask — 20 to 30 minutes. Beyond that, responsive communication when questions come up. The scoping and matching happen before the student ever reaches you.

Nitro works with motivated students across high school and college. The match is based on the project requirements and the student's actual work patterns — not their grade level or GPA.

A match is based on everything the platform can read — work style, problem orientation, project fit. What happens after introduction is a collaboration. Like any working relationship, it takes two people showing up. If something isn't clicking in the first 30 days, flag it and we'll take another look at the fit.

Remote-first by default. If you're in the NYC metro or LA and want someone local for occasional in-person work, we can factor that in during matching.

Your next great hire is already out there.
We just need to make the match.

Stop putting off the hire you've been meaning to make. Your project brief writes itself. Your match is already in the network.

Fill out your founder profile and Nitro gets to work. No job description needed. No applications to read. The match comes to you.
